I'm Not a Good Flyer.

Updated: Jul 19, 2023

I don't know many who are fond of the whole experience, but some have more trouble with it than others.

You know, the packing, the stressing about how you can fit everything in your carry-on so you don't have to pay for a checked bag, the worry if your shampoo bottles are too big and if so, will they be taken from me? The water bottle that needs to be emptied cause my 1/2 cup of water may cause an explosion, the stripping down to nothing while you do the same for your kids and the hope that nothing gets left behind in those grey bins... not speaking from experience or anything...

That kind of thing totally stresses me out. I feel gross and drained and completely undone at the end of it. I try not to do it as often as I can but when I do have to, I make sure that I'm prepared.

Here's what I do:

I take one tube of Oscillococinum before, during and after the flight. I do the same for my kids and husband. This is to prevent any kind of illness that may ensue after being crammed in a small space with a bunch of people breathing in recycled air. Before I did this everytime I arrived at our destination I would come down with mild cold symptoms that lasted a day or so. After employing Oscillo, this is no longer an occurrence. I also give us all a dose of Arnica 30 before and after to prevent any jet lag and muscle soreness after a long uncomfortable flight. Thankfully that's all I have to endure emotionally and physically. It's a bit of a stress, and physically demanding with luggage and young children, but I don't have any fears, I don't get debilitating anxiety and I certainly don't loose sleep the night before because of racing thoughts. I make my list, check it twice and off to dreamland I go...zzz

But others are not so fortunate. Some people have a fear of flying, some have great anticipatory anxiety, some can't get to sleep the night before because they can't shut off their minds. Thankfully there is homeopathy to help in these situations.

In England this is known as the "Triple-A" because it is so commonly used.

All of these remedies are taken together, twice daily as soon as anxiety surrounding the travel begins to mount. It can even be taken every three hours if the angst is bad enough. Stopping of course, when you are feeling much better.

Homeopathy can't take away the hassle of flying but it can help you to calmly maneuver your way through it.

Safe travels!
