Relief From Jet Lag

You finally arrive at your destination. You've been looking forward to this trip for months.

Don't let Jet Lag spoil your dream vacation!

What is Jet Lag?

Jet lag describes common sleep problems (such as insomnia) and other symptoms people experience after traveling a long distance quickly. When you travel across more than two time zones by plane, your body’s “internal clock” (or circadian rhythm) needs time to adjust to the new sleep and wake cycles at your destination. Jet lag is a type of circadian rhythm sleep disorder. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/12781-jet-lag

Janell and her family arrived in Europe excited for the family vacation they had been planning for over a year. Her husband and son seemed to bounce back quickly from the long travel over several time zones, Janell and her daughter however, did not fair as well.

Janell contacted me a couple of days after arriving at their destination and asked if I knew of anything that could help with this condition. She reported that both her and her daughter were suffering.

"Lisa! Is there a jet leg remedy?? Meg and I have been nauseous and dizzy off and on for days!"

I immediately told her to get ahold of Cocculus Indicus 30c, a top remedy for this condition. Cocculus indicus indicus can help with dizziness, nausea, and relieve sleep disturbances from jet lag. It's also stated to normalize hunger levels and improve alertness. I suggested she and her daughter take this remedy every few hours until very much better and then taper it back to twice daily until all symptoms have subsided.

Another option I gave her was to pick up a box of Cocculus Indicus composé® , a Homeopathic medicine for temporary disorders associated with jet lag (circadian dysrhythmia): sleep disturbance, fatigue, nervousness, headache, digestive disorders. Just follow the directions on the box, easy peasy!

I always stress to my clients that they should be carrying a homeopathic kit wherever they go so they have what they need in case of an emergency. However, Janell was traveling in France, where homeopathic remedies are in every single pharmacy, and all the pharmacists know how to use them. So it was easy to find the remedy and get the assistance she needed.

"Vive laFrance!"

After a few doses of Cocculus 30, Janell and Meg were back on their game and ready to hike the trails and see the sites.

"Vive l’homéopathie!"
